The OAN-5000, a ‘Shelf’ type of central office-side concentrator, enables a wide variety of deployment options of FTTP from customer’s premises to carrier’s office. It guarantees competitive access performance beyond 100Mbps bandwidth per subscriber necessary for multi-channel high resolution video delivery as well as high speed data and toll quality voice.
The OAN-5000 aggregates traffic from 40 PON interfaces and maximum 64
ONTs/ONUs per PON interfaces into four or more gigabit Ethernet ports that connect to higher-tier Ethernet switch or router. Through the OAN-5000, data rate can run up to 20Km at high speed of 2.5Gbps in downstream directions and 1.25Gbps in upstream directions, which proves to be an emerging revenue generation gear for mission critical service providers.
